By using SnowDay Predictor (the "Site"), you agree to these terms. They're short and plain by design. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Site. Last updated July 2026.

Informational and for fun — no warranty

SnowDay Predictor gives a probabilistic estimate of whether schools might close or run late for snow. It is provided for general information and entertainment only. The numbers come from a statistical model run on a weather forecast, and both the forecast and the model can be wrong. The Site is not a substitute for official school announcements, and it is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

• We are not affiliated with any school, school district, or government agency.
• A prediction is never a closing or delay announcement — always confirm through your district's official channels.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnowDay Predictor and its operators accept no liability for any decision made or action taken in reliance on the Site.

Weather data & attribution

Forecasts are fetched live from Open-Meteo, an open weather API, and are subject to their terms and accuracy. We don't guarantee the availability, timeliness, or correctness of that third-party data. See the methodology page for exactly how a forecast is turned into the odds you see.

Affiliate disclosure

Some pages may include affiliate links (for example, to winter gear on Amazon). As an Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. These links never influence the prediction — the model runs purely on the weather forecast.

Acceptable use

You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't scrape it at a volume that degrades service for others, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or republish its content as if it were an official closing list. The Site's design, text, and model are ours; the underlying weather data belongs to Open-Meteo.

Changes

We may update these terms or the Site at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
